If you like game merch and/or supporting good causes, tomorrow is an important day. Why? Because at 6:00 PST on Saturday morning the Women in Games International charity auctions — organized by yours truly — open on eBay. Go bid on stuff. Not only does it help us spread awareness about women in the industry, but you get cool things. And there are a lot of cool things. In other news:

- “Hot for Teacher,” in which I admit my weekly meetings with the professor have started to go to my head, and my heart (Click Me).

- “When Online Isn’t Enough,” in which I go on some more about wanting to jump Dr. S. in real life, and then get embarrassed by having cybersex company (The Clickable Clit).

- “10 Social Networks That Don’t Exist but Should,” in which I add to the existing list of social networks for lesbians and spies (Heartless Doll lists).

- “10 Tips for Making a Decent Hipster Thanksgiving Dinner,” in which I instruct twenty-something kids like me on how not to ruin a holiday meal (Heartless Doll lists).

I’m sure there are lots of barriers to you and your online beau meeting in the flesh, but personally I like to think that love will conquer all.

Are you/your fiancee and your doctor friend/his partner polyamorous? Your partner (whom you never talk about here except to mention your upcoming wedding _very_ occasionally) is obviously a wonderful, open-minded person. Perhaps if The Doctor’s partner is aware of his exchanges with you, it might be possible to negotiate a live meeting.

Since your personal lives are, well, personal, I don’t see the need to inquire further other than to reiterate that if the attraction is there (which it obviously is), I think you should do a little “heaven and earth moving” to explore whether the link is there in real life too. Something as hot as what you have should be cultivated.

Thanks for the encouragement, Chris. I wouldn’t call it “love” with Dr. S., mostly just attraction and a crush. Still, I’d be with you on the idea of going to great lengths for an adventure — if that’s what he wanted, too. To answer your question, my fiancĂ© and I are poly. He *is* an awesome, open-minded guy. The reason I don’t talk about him much is I wouldn’t want to air his secrets online without his okay :). So he and I would be totally cool with real-life meeting with the professor. It’s the professor who’s in a monogamous relationship and doesn’t want to take things into RL. Who knows. Maybe situations will change in the future…
