Thanks to a reference from the charming Damon Brown — whose book, Porn and Pong, is now available on Amazon — this week I got my first assignment for Playboy. It’s just a little piece, but I’m psyched! Plus my roommate will be happy I have another excuse to bring more magazines full of naked ladies into the apartment for our non-existent coffee table. Anyways, the non-Playboy-related articles I wrote this week:
- “Cybersex at 30,000 feet,” in which I muse on having sex using airplane WiFi, and wonder what to say as a sex-positive expert to a woman whose husband is addicted to internet porn (The Clickable Clit).
- “Top 10 ‘Seedy’ Websites to Visit on Airplanes,” in which I just can’t get over how much opportunity there is to be dirty using American Airline’s wireless internet (Heartless Doll lists).
- “5 Reasons Why I Love My Overpriced Gym,” in which I don’t talk about sex, or gender, or video games, or technology, but manage to avoid cardiac arrest by focusing on naked Japanese grandmas (Heartless Doll lists).
- “Keyboards from Outerspace,” in which I translate a list of computer mouses both awesome and bizarre (Tom’s Guide).
In other, only slightly related news:
- I learn that French video game journalists are just as big pigs as American ones when it comes to ogling women at conventions.
- I’m in awe at the sheer number of virtual worlds out there, as presented in this dramatic video.
- I discuss an article about science museums in Second Life that gets derailed staring at virtual sex workers.
Happy weekend, Heroine Sheik readers. If you live somewhere where seasons exist — unlike San Francisco — I am officially jealous of you having fall.
