Yes, the music giant is at it again, attempting to combine sex and web technology for colorful results. This time, instead of convincing internet-goers to tell their secrets to an unfeeling machine, MTV would like you to write your own ending to one of the stories they’ve started on their MySpace page. Conveniently, each story’s opening is read by someone famous, which makes them a bit more palatable. The idea is to end up with tales that shed some light on HIV/AIDS. The viewers who write the best endings get their stories aired at World AIDS Day in India.

Maybe blogging for Heartless Doll has made me jaded and gossipy, but the thing I enjoy most about this contest isn’t how it raises awareness through Web 2.0-style participation and blah blah blah, it’s the chance to see famous actors read. OMG, you guys are literate? It also seems the videos of the reading celebs changes weekly. Check in on the off chance someone great appears. Tragically hideous Tim Curry, I have my fingers crossed for you.
