Add another book to the pile.
My most recent reading: Regina Lynn’s collection of internet advice, Sexier Sex: Lessons from the Brave New Sexual Frontier. Broken down into a hundred-odd instructional tidbits, Gina offers up wisdom from her years as a Wired sex columnist to those who strive for better pleasure via tech and the internet. Though the book as a whole lacks integration, it holds some priceless pearls for the cybersex enthusiast in all of us.
After encouraging us to “discover (and free) our erotic imagination,” Gina advises on everything from “How to find an adult community with nice, smart people in it” to “How to compose erotic email” to “How to look great on webcam” to “How to (politely) reject an offer for cybersex.” My personal favorite: “How to give good word.” It comes complete with a list of suggested nouns, verbs, and adjectives so you can avoid embarrassing staples like “member” and “manroot.”
Wait, manroot? That just makes me think of mandrake root, and hopefully no one’s penis looks like that.

Thanks for this fine, Bonnie. It looks like a helpful read. Any advice to make the cybering more fun and enjoyable is always good in my book! And I am sure it leads to mroe “practice”. ;)

I’m actually experimenting putting together that cybersex matchmaking site we talked about a while back. I’ll be sure to let you know!

Really?!? That sounds so cool - can I be a guinea pig for you somehow?

Anyone who wants can be a guinea pig, in fact. I’ll be posting about the site next week to see if we can’t send a couple people that way.

I know what you mean, but just occasionally it can be OK … there’s the English translation of Kazuko Shiraishi’s poem “Dankon”.
