I have had a paid subscription on Match and really hated it due to the fact that it was really sterile and made me choose whether or not I was a female looking for men or a female looking for women. I didn't want to make that choice! I was looking to meet people, male or female. I think I may have even tried signing up on eHarmony once (a long time ago, during my wayward youth :P), but the fact that they only paired hetero couples was downright atrocious and I canceled my account immediately.
