I'd have to wager that the non-realistic medium allows for exploration of certain taboos and/or the expression of certain non-normative desires that would just be too socially unacceptable (or not feasible, or not safe/sane/consenting) in live-action porn. Take tentacle porn for example: not my thing personally, but it's a whole more do-able in general when you're talking about cartoons... I'd suggest trying Tokimeki Check'in and maybe Heart de Roommate if silliness is what you want. If you want more serious/less about sex ones, Kana Little Sister and Crescendo (didn't try the later) are among the most popular. And in the older but nice titles : Gloria, Nocturnal Illusions, True Love. They might not have great writing and all have the "everyone falls for you" gimmick, but I keep pleasant memories of them.
