And unlike “Jacque Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris,” it’s actually true!
My apologies for the sheer lack of Heroine Sheik updates as of late. In the last seven days, I’ve packed my life into two check-in bags and moved to the south of France–where, in addition to freelancing for the Voice online, I’ll be teaching English to French high schoolers until the beginning of May. I’m still adjusting to the time difference (i.e. taking lots and lots of naps), but I’ve got an amazing little apartment with it’s own garden and a view of the Mediterranean.
Lesson number one I’ve learned so far: I don’t know the French word for “ceiling.” Lesson number two: palm trees are more prickly than expected. Lesson number three: squishy cheese is tasty but smelly.
This time in Europe though, I’m prepared. I’ve got my Wii and my PS2 and some serious internets, and the gaming–along with the gaming coverage–will re-commence shortly. Now for that squishy cheese…

But how accurate is “Buddy Holly is Alive and Well and Living on Ganymede?”

Since you’re in France now, just curious what is your opinion on Linden Labs now charging the VAT to Europeans?

Hmm, I hadn’t heard about that. I will have to delve into the world of online taxes (i.e. Terra Nova :) and report back shortly!

How long have you lived in France? What made you decide to move there?
