Maybe you remember back in September I mentioned Dan Albritton’s new game i’m in like with you. Well, the game is now up and running. At the moment it’s invitation only, but if anyone’s interested feel free to email me and I’ll pass your note along to Dan.
i’m in like with you is basically MySpace meets eBay. Plus it’s got this meta “game” thing going on. You set up a profile, and then you set up a game. Games are normally questions like “What’s your favorite cookie?” Since I didn’t get, that mine is a bit forward. Okay, it’s an ad for virtual booty.
That’s where the bidding comes in, with the games. You get points by using the network, then you can spend your points bidding to be the top response to other people’s games. You also get the points people bid on your games.
It’ll be interesting to see how the whole bidding thing works out. When Dan had first described the game, the idea was for potential daters (i.e. guys) to show off for potential datees (i.e. girls). As it stands, the winner gets a chance to talk to the person who started the game. Without bidding, there’s really no way to contact people. I smell emergent behavior…

Which one? The title of the game itself? Of my “game”?

The title of the game?
Your game is clear. : )

Just a play off of “I’m in love with you,” I suppose. Pretty cute, and states that “I’m not looking for any actual emotional connection” goal clearly :).

I just think it’s pretty funny that people will be asking about cookies and pets and you’re advertising cybersex. You ought to become quite popular!!

The funny thing is, the guy who won (You get to pick the winner from the top five bidders) seems not be, well, taking the offer. Which I guess is fine with me, but still :). I also got into an interesting conversation/debate with Dan Albritton about what constitutes cybersex. He thought I was advertising mutual masturbation; I thought I was advertising an online sex act… Anyways, a subject for a fun later discussion.
Hey, Joe, just send me an email (address in the contact section) and I’d be happy to forward your note over to Dan!

I’ve heard a few things about the site, but just got some info on my site about it yesterday. Figured I should check it out.
Hook a Blogger up?

Hi, Alistair. I’m actually out of invites at the moment, but let me write to Dan again and I’ll see what I can do. Also, I need an email address, and it’s probably best to send that to my email, which you can find in the contact section. Thanks!
