In conjunction with a look at Whorecraft’s WoW-inspired porn series for my next Joystiq column, I’m doing bit of reading this week into video-game slash. I was just wondering, before I got started, if anyone had any favorite pieces they’d like to recommend? Something that goes somewhere unexpected? Or maybe something unexpectedly good?
For me, slash confuses my senses. I’m an enormous word dork, so writing is definitely my preferred method of sexiness in-take, but at the same time I’m an editor, and there’s no bigger turn off than bad writing. I also feel like extreme fandom helps with the sexy factor, and at the moment I’m not really a big enough die-hard about anything for it to get me off. Then again, maybe I’m wrong. Bring on the surprising slash…

Hey, by using the numbers in the Everybody Votes channel, we can figure out how many girls are playing Wii. Check it out:

Hey, that’s pretty interesting–though it definitely does have to be taken with a grain of salt (for example, my male fiance votes uses his favorite mii, an adorable little female vampire, instead of the male one that’s supposed to be him). I’m thinking I might definitely put up a post about your piece. Thanks!
