After last week’s studio tours, we also stopped by Arcadia, the consumer games festival. Having never been to E3 (yes, I know, now I never will), I can’t say I expected the laser lights and fog machines. Shouldn’t that stuff be at least partially lethal?
Since I’d already played the Wii at MIGS, and I’m really not a LAN tournament kind of girl, what caught my eye–surprise, surprise–were the ladies. Minimal booth babe-sploitation, minimal sexy cosplay. Instead, the biggest hottie on the floor was Arcadia’s “virtual greeter,” a real-time rendered, hairless beauty chatting up confused festival goers.
The best part though, was the real woman stationed behind a black curtain somewhere off-screen. Something about The Wizard of Oz. Something else about trying too hard. Of course, then there was this, which is only mildly less absurd, and a game in an umbrella that the lovely Ellie Gibson calls “the fucking future.”

How do you fit one, or how to you cleverly snatch one from a games show? That is the question ;).
