I blame my recently extracted wisdom teeth (or, I suppose, lack thereof) for this delayed mention of my interview with area/code head Frank Lantz, “Big Reality”, which went up a week or two back at Gamasutra. Big games, urban space as play space, and some exciting plans for future projects. Plus, check out area/code’s new-ish blog, Away from Keyboard. As we speak, I’m using my Jedi mind powers to inspire Scott to update the site. Can you tell I’ve been watching Star Wars while doped up on pain killers?

So… he’s weak minded? You know, as Watto said, “What, you think you’re some kind of Jedi? Mind tricks don’t work on me, only money!”
It works slightly differently then. You do the same finger flick and say it the same way; “You’re not interested in these droids” or “You want to update the site” but to activate the mind powers you need a folded $20 bill between the two fingers. $50 is even better. $100 is best, but only a few Jedi have the mental stamina to use that kind of power very often.

Not that I have a $100 dollar bill, a $50, or even a $20 (Man, I need to get my ass to the ATM), BUT, lucky for me, any money I use to bribe Scott can inevitably be stolen back by convincing him to buy me things. Like delicious water ice.
P.S. Hey Scott, thanks for buying that water ice.

I’m eating that water ice right now. And it is delicious. How do you like them water ice? Huh? Huh?
Mmmm…

I am unwilling to accept that the plural form of water ice is water ice. Moose, fine. But water ice, no way.
