“On Short Skirts, Spandex and Picking Your Battles,” a humble editorial of mine, went up at Gaming Age today. It deals with the (potentially less than popular) topic of deciding when it’s just not worth your time to get your knickers in a twist about gender representation – though, to be fair, that’s only because the current situation is quite so messed that if you really, really thought it through, your head would be spinning too fast to ever pick up a controller. It also has a lot to do with that delicate art of talking to men so they’ll listen, also known as between pretty smiles and without too many intimidating gestures :-). On that note, in order to demonstrate a point in the piece, Jim, my editor, has included a nice shot of a DOA beauty kicking up a storm with her panties showing. A illustration of sexism, or reader fan service? Heck, take it where you can get it.
